Speaking of honesty, there are medical insurances in the US that give you only a fraction of what you pay as premium. They find some excuse to reject your claim. The rip off amount is much higher than this auto driver. There are tons of smelly drug addicts lying on the street in philadelhia, vancouver etc. which you dont see in India. There are also many wrongfully convicted people in the US who are exonerated only when they are old, especially minorities. This doesnt happen so much in India. Every country has its own issues

The people that tell you to avoid these area's will likely be locals that don't have any alternative to travel through these area's at night because they live there *& have to travel home at night. Try walking around some of these area's at night on yr own & like the guys that showed you around told you that it would be completely different. Those "coffins" are sleep pods.
